Regina
A. Corso
Regina
has experience in public opinion research and communications which
spans the political and corporate spectrums. Currently, she is
Executive Vice President and Founder of Vox Populi Communications, a
public opinion research firm which handles political and corporate
work. Her work with Vox Populi includes work on energy and
environmental issues, health care issues, gaming issues and
education as well as local, congressional and statewide campaigns.
Prior to founding Vox Populi
Communications, she was Director of Research at The Hawthorn Group
where she handled all public opinion research for the large public
affairs firm and managed the entire research department. While
there, Regina handled a myriad of issues for Hawthorn’s clients,
but primarily focused on energy and environmental issues for one of
the nation’s largest utilities. Regina was also the director of
research for the Outlook Policy Forum, an organization formed to
create public awareness of how economic, environmental and energy
issues are interconnected.
Before Hawthorn, Regina was a partner
in Capitol Campaign Strategies where she coordinated all survey
research and qualitative research and assisted in the media and
fundraising divisions. This position was after her three years with
The Luntz Research Companies. While at Luntz, she was responsible
for all financial matters for the corporation as well as overseeing
all personnel and project work. Projects Regina worked on included
research and communications work for incumbent Senators and
Congressmen as well as work for George Magazine, Merrill
Lynch, and The Center for Alcohol and Substance Abuse, among others.
Regina’s work in politics began
with her work for President Bush’s re-election effort, where she
was responsible for organizing, overseeing, and analyzing the
results of the Voter Input Line for Bush-Quayle’s national
campaign headquarters. After Bush-Quayle, Regina went to work for
Senator Brown (R-CO), where she was a staff assistant. She also
worked with the Republican Governors’ Association, where she
helped the Republicans captured the statehouses in Virginia and New
Jersey.
Regina is also an adjunct professor
at American University, the Graduate School of Political Management
and The George Washington University where she teaches classes on US
politics, campaign issues, polling and public opinion.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in
political science from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Regina also
received an M.A. in Political Management from the Graduate School of
Political Management at The George Washington University and is a
candidate for a PhD in political science at American University.
While at the GSPM, Regina wrote and studied extensively on the rise
of the Independent movement and especially Ross Perot.
She is originally from New York City,
N.Y. where she grew up above her family’s Italian restaurant.
